Car description from seller:
1972 El Camino SS 454 Clone DFW Area. Engine and exterior: GM 454 c.i. rebuilt to a 502 c.i., Edelbrock Manifold, Edelbrock 4bl carb w/ Holley Spacer, K&N Air Filter, Hooker Headers, Thrush Master Exhausts, and Muncie M-22 'rock crusher' 4 speed w/ Hurst shifter, 12 bolt posi-trac rear-end (unk. but probably 4:10 gear), front/rear sway bars, rear air shocks, front disc brakes, rear drum, near new beefed up ball joints, new 3 core radiator with 3 electric fans, chrome American Racing mags, Remington XT-120 CTR radial tires. Front: P-245/60-15, massive rear P-275/60-15, all with estimated 90% tread remaining, sprayed (black) rear cargo area w/ 4 chrome tie down posts, fresh oil/filter change, and fresh state safety inspection. Note: Unknown actual miles on the engine but I had it inspected by a certified mechanic and he said it was ¿tight' i.e. no leaks, good compression, no sign of excess wear. I took the previous owner's word on the mods and this car has tons of torque and burns rubber in all 4 gears. It is very responsive to throttle inputs with no hesitation (unless it is cold, of course). Engine has lots of chrome added and looks/runs great. Exterior: 8+. No major dings or dents but some minor chips/dings which are easily repairable. Small rust paint bubbles at bottom of driver and passenger doors. I took it to a professional auto painter to inspect and he said the cab forward paint is car show quality, but the rear was factory quality (I really couldn't tell the difference, but took his word for it). I found no evidence of wreck damage and the frame looks laser straight, no repair welds I could detect. The glass and chrome are all in good shape, as are the authentic SS emblems. Bright yellow paint, black SS stripes, and chrome make this car POP! Interior: 8+: Near new carpet and headliner, original vinyl bucket seats, good center console, standard non-SS instrument panel with cut-outs for the extra gauges, steering column mounted large faced tachometer (red line Seller contact phone:(972)-874-1693
